WELCOME TO PALM STUDIO

Our main goal for PALM STUDIO was to create a visually interesting and creative space for artists and musicians to meet, rehearse and record whilst also providing recordings that accurately represent those that work alongside us.

We want you to hear yourself in everything recorded and we want to ensure that your sound is as close to being in the room as possible.

Thanks to the buildings interesting design and our acoustically treated rooms the studio combines its incredible sounding rooms, beautiful views and a relaxed social atmosphere to get the best possible performance from all who pass through our doors.

ABOUT PALM: About the Studio

ALEX GOLD

Producer, Writer, Musician, Videographer, Photographer, Editor and more.

Alex has spent his entire life in studios either performing, producing, writing, editing or directing and is one of the most accomplished artists in the South Wales music scene. Alex has been at the forefront of a number of music scenes that have passed through South Wales and is known for his creative vision and eye for detail.

With years of experience writing, managing and performing Alex understands not only how to assist any artist with their craft but has the experience to add the perfect final touches to the track to elevate it to the next level.

For all of his 'current projects' Alex is the Producer, Writer and the performer.

For his 'previous recording projects' Alex was the producer and co-writer.

CHRIS RAMSEY

ENGINEER

Chris has been obsessed with sound his entire life, from early memories of adjusting multiband EQ's on stereos to constantly searching for the 'Best' way to consume music.

Finding Studio Engineering later in life Chris first started as a Computer Engineer and Managed Teams of Creatives and Junior Engineers.

These skillsets were essential when moving into the recording studios creative space because not only does technology fail us and its good to have a nerd in the room but sometimes knowing how to get the best performance out of someone can entirely change how impactful their art can be.

Chris qualified with first class honours from the University of South Wales with a BSC in Sound Engineering and whilst studying he was invited to assist on recording sessions at Rockfield Studios under the guidance of Nick Brine (Oasis, The Darkness, The Stone Roses) and during his time as an assistant Chris has worked on a number of Projects in Rockfield, detailed below.

Chris however has really cut his teeth within PALM STUDIO working hand in hand with all the artists that grace our doorways and is already known within the recording community for his consistent hard work and larger than life sound.
